Minbar Sultan el-Nasir Muhammad formerly in the Umayyad Mosque, Aleppo; now missing.

"The Missing Minbar of Aleppo"2006

The carved wood and inlay minbar, or pulpit,
of the Mamluk Sultan al-Nasir Muhammad,
the 9th Mamluk Sultan from Cairo. This
800-year-old minbar was located in the
Umayyad Mosque of Aleppo, prior to its
damage and disappearance in May 2013.

Spread the word. Help reduce the rewards
for those who would dismember this treasure
and sell the pieces on the black market.
